In celebration of their 100th line, That Boutique-y Whisky Company have given us a one-of-a-kind “pimped” litre bottle of their Speyburn 7 Year Old to auction for charity with everything raised donated to Malaria No More UK!
UPDATE: The auction has now ended with bids reaching £600.01! Congratulations to the winner and to That Boutique-y Whisky Company for raising hundreds of pounds for such a great cause!

Back in September 2012, That Boutique-y Whisky Company was unleashed upon this plane of existence (some say that the discovery of a clutch of turtles crawling through radioactive ooze in a New York City alley was the true beginning of That Boutique-y Whisky Company, but we can neither confirm nor deny this). Fast-forward almost five years to July 2017 and the multi-award-winning independent whisky bottler has released their 100th line (or 100th different first batch, if you will) – a Speyburn 7 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky! To mark the occasion, That Boutique-y Whisky Company has given us a one-of-a-kind 1 litre bottle of said Speyburn single malt to auction, with everything raised (net of any applicable VAT) donated to Malaria No More UK!

This collectible auction bottle is the first ever 1 litre That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottling, and has been given hand-pained gold detailing to the already-handsome label. As if that wasn’t enough, they even sent the bottle to notable Speyburn enthusiast Jan Birch for it to be suitably “pimped”. He’s poured his blood, sweat and tears stocks of sequins, shiny letters and fish stickers into decorating the bottle, and it looks the bee’s knees (view larger pic here).

The auction is live now, and will be running until 14:00 on 24th July. Dig deep, raise money for a fantastic charity (Malaria No More UK continues to do great work and we couldn’t be happier to keep supporting them) and get your hands on Boutique-y history.

For all you other Speyburn enthusiasts (as the Whisky Sponge says: “Lagavulin wishes it was the Speyburn of Islay”), you can also get your hands on 50cl bottles of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s 7 Year Old Speyburn. As the dapper salmon is teaching those Victorian gentlemen on the label, “Never smoother! None better! The World’s Finest! Simply incredible!”, but if you don’t trust the opinions of anthropomorphic ray-finned fish then have a read of our tasting notes below…
