If you’re a fan of light, fruity, and tasty whisky then you’ll want to enter our latest competition. A HUGE bundle of goodies is up for grabs: a hamper of Tomatin whisky!
In the Highlands, you’ll find a site that was once the largest malt whisky distillery in Scotland. Founded in 1897, the once humble Tomatin went through a pretty constant period of expansion through much of the 20th century, going from two stills to four in 1956, four to six in ‘58, then to 11 in ’61, and then in 1974, a further 12 stills were installed. At its height, Tomatin had 23 stills and could produce 10m litres of Scotch whisky per annum.
It was a key player in providing malt whisky for blends during the boom years of the 1960s and ’70s. But when boom inevitably turned into bust Tomatin was almost lost. Thankfully, in 1986 it was saved by Japanese drinks conglomerate Takara Holdings, making it the first Scottish distillery to be wholly owned by a Japanese company. Today Tomatin operates with twelve stills in operation, producing classic sweet, fruity Highland-style Scotch, as well as a small amount of peated whisky as well.
The distillery has more of a single malt presence now than it ever has had previously and it’s a range really worth exploring. Even Anchorman star Will Ferrell is a fan. And we’d like to help you do that. As an extra incentive, we’ve created a competition that rewards you for purchasing Tomatin whisky by giving you a chance to win a most glorious hamper of goodies.

If somebody brought this to a picnic with me I’d marry them on the spot
