Citra Hopped Beer

A hugely popular variety with high alpha acid levels (11-13%), low cohumulone content and a highly sought-after fruity citrus and richly tropical flavour profile (think passion fruit, pineapple and mango) that’s perfect for refreshing modern American Pale Ales and IPAs.

Released by Hop Breeding Co. (a joint venture between John I. Haas, Inc. and Select Botanicals Group, LLC) in 2007, it’s a hybrid of Mittelfrüh, Tettnanger and East Kent Golding registered as HBC 394 cv.
