Trappistes Rochefort 8 Bottling Note

A newer release from authentic Trappist brewers at Rochefort Abbey (also known as the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Saint-Rémy). A lower gravity cousin to the Rochefort 10, the 8 is known as 'Spéciale', or 'the special one'.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Rich, but not as heavy as you may imagine given the strength - fruitcake with allspice, raisins and figs. Fresh bread, white coffee and some spring freshness just sneaking in.

Trappistes Rochefort 8 Reviews

A lovely tasting beer, with strength to match.

Rochefort 8 is really a quite impeccable beer. Lovely colour with a nice head it tastes divine and deceptive in strength for its taste. Gorgeous beer.

Smooth with a Kick at the End

A local winery sales this delicious and and fulfilling beer. I'm a quite enjoy Belgian beer and recommend anyone to try this one. I also enjoy most dark beers on my palate (Guiness being my favorite), but this one isn't as bold as you may presume and feels a little lighter. And with a 9.2% alcohol rate your sure to enjoy this smooth beer rather throw than it down like some of the other watered down beers.
