Bitburger Pils Bottling Note

Bitburger is a brewery steeped in history; founded in 1817 and still family owned, they were the first to produce a Pilsener style beer outside of its traditional home of Bohemia, and have gone on to send this tasty beer around the world for us all to enjoy. Jolly decent fellows, we think.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Gentle floral and hoppy on the nose, with delicate citrus fruit and rich honeyed notes on the palate. Lovely bitter hop character and a long, nutty finish.

Bitburger Pils Reviews

Not bad, but doesn’t live up to the hype

Starts off strong and finishes strong, however it tastes almost the same as all other draft German pilsners. The aroma and taste of hops on the pallet completely overwhelm any hints of citrus and honey. For being “the third-most popular beer in Germany” it was surprising that cheap American drafts like Bud Light or Yuengling were more enjoyable and refreshing. This beer is a great aperitif simply because you will want to eat anything to get the taste out.
