This is a delicious 15 year old Bas-Armagnac from Château du Tariquet. It was distilled from nothing but the spicy, oily Folle Blanche grapes before maturation, and it has a superbly rich, fruity, rancio-like flavour.
Nose: Delicate, spiced nose with hints of soft fruit, overripe grape, allspice.
Palate: Smooth, creamy palate with rancio notes, cooked apricots, nutmeg and plum.
Finish: Candied peels and pepper.
Overall: A deliciously rich, rancio-like brandy.

A really good brandy. The nose is exquisite. Like being in a french pastry store. On the palate it's sweetness and richness comes to the fore. Finish is also long and warm.
