Gensac Vintage 1970 Bottling Note

A fabulous Armagnac from Château de Gensac, which was left to mature in French oak casks after it was distilled all the way back in 1970. That's the same year that Funkadelic released their very first album, also called Funkadelic. We'd highly recommend listening to some of those tunes while sipping this rich Armagnac, perhaps with a square of dark chocolate, too.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Plum jam, apple and cinnamon compote, new oak furniture and vanilla pod.

Gensac Vintage 1970 Reviews

Insane value - Absolute 5*

Let me get this straight, this is 48 years old.. for £125..? This stuff is incredible, where on earth can you taste such luxury without spending thousands. It is incredibly complex, soft rounded, great depth, all the reasons Armagnac slaughters Cognac because of the liberation from the rules of the region!
