Grain whisky is one of the less well-known styles of whisky produced in the world and it has different rules and regulations when compared to malt whisky. For a start, it's produced in continuous column stills. It's also distilled from a selection of grains and not just malted barley. These two points result in a smooth, supple style of whisky, without the complexity of a single malt, but with a lovely, easy-going character instead. 50 year old grain whiskies are very hard to come by, and so we recommend the whisky on this page as a gift for Father's Day or Christmas, or for 50th birthdays and anniversaries.
