A french absinthe made from a blend of artemisia absinthium, aniseed flavours, mint and spices. Mild and pastis-like in style, ideal for cocktails. Absente means 'absent' in French. #drinkaware

First time trying this... you need to add some sugar and lemon to it. A unique taste! I like it.
I found this to be really pleasant as an introduction to absinthe, it also came in a gift box with a spoon which was an added surprise bonus!
This is without doubt a very poor substitute for absinthe in fact is really a pastis. It is not distilled but macerated. It just tastes of anis with shovel full of sugar - it is far too sweet. The colour is a toxic green clearly produced by artificial colouring. Absente does not produce a proper louche and there is certainly no release of aromas when water is added with either a broulier or fountain. If you are new to absinthe avoid this and go for something like a Jade 1901 or Jade Espirit Edouard you will not be disappointed.
One drink of this absinthe gave me the most vivid and horrifying dreams. Have been afraid to try it again.
