Quivira Zinfandel 2009 Bottling Note

This 2009 Zinfandel was made in Sonoma County, California by Quivira, and is a vibrantly fruity style, different to many other Zinfandels. This wine is a blend of grapes with Zinfandel holding pole-position. The proportions are: 83% Zinfandel, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petite Sirah, 3% Syrah and 2% Grenache.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Blackberry and purple plums open up a bright, fruity aroma. These prominent fruits carry on to the palate with some black pepper, for spice. The finish is suitably long with a hint of leather.
