Sherry

Perhaps the most outrageously overlooked wines in the world - Sherry (in our humble opinion) tends to suffer from the same problem as whisky. Go and ask 5 of your friends, and I'll pretty much guarantee that at least 3 of them will not like sherry (and whisky) because they once tried a monstrosity lurking at the back of an aunt's drinks cabinet, and have decreed that all sherry (/whisky) is of that ilk, and hence not for them. A crying shame. The cool, crisp, slightly saline refreshment provided by a Manzanilla is something that has very little equal in the world, and as for some of the super-duper aged Pedro Ximenez sherries that are out there? Well, I struggle to think of any other drink that sometimes (genuinely) requires a spoon to partake of.
