Triptyque Pouilly Fume 09 Bottling Note
Pouilly Fume sits on the other side of the Loire Valley to Sancerre, and is a more perfumed style of Sauvignon Blanc. Alain Cailbourdain makes his Triptyque Pouilly Fume from grapes grown on land bearing a lot of red flint which gives the wine an extra power.
Perfume and pot pourii leading to green apples and goose berries on the nose. The palate is flinty with great acidity and green fruit flavours.
