Interesting fact… Ichiro's Malt 1986 King of Hearts whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Japan. Had it been produced in America its name would be Ichiro's Malt 1986 King of Hearts whiskey, instead of whisky.

King of Hearts Bottling Note

An incredible addition to the Ichiro's Malt Card range. Each whisky, in very modish style, is named after a playing card. We love them! This was distilled at the Hanyu distillery in 1986, and aged in a hogshead before a finish in a Pedro Ximenez sherry butt. Bottled in 2009.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Very spicy and full bodied with hints of apple sweets, sherbet and cinnamon. Maybe a touch of cloves, with raspberries.

Palate: Full bodied and very rounded in the mouth with loads of spiciness – a big rush of chilli spice, sweetness and herbs with just a touch of wood late palate.

Finish: Strong, complex, herbal finish.
