Insider knowledge: Hudson Manhattan Rye Whiskey is named whiskey by virtue of the fact it's from America. If distilled in Scotland the spelling would be Hudson Manhattan Rye Whisky, as opposed to whiskey.
Feisty, but not too bold. The funky rye spiciness is actually more powerful on the nose than in your mouth. Oily mouthfeel, but not too resinous. Lots of dessert-like flavors throughout the palate and finish, mostly maple, cinnamon and allspice. A nice dram, but so very overpriced! Try to buy this one in the USA if you can - it's less than USD$40 a bottle over there.
