What's in a name? The Macallan Whisky Maker's Edition 1l whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled The Macallan Whisky Maker's Edition 1l whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Spicy and sweet, some marmalade, cocoa and orange rind, chocolate, coffee beans and cinnamon spice.
Palate: Thick and luscious, big on juicy ripe fruits, date cake, cedar, sherried peels and fudge.
Finish: Long and spiced, Jaffa cakes...
I got lucky last year when i started collecting whisky. This is the first bottle I ever bought and was able to buy it taxfree for €42 in Germany. Still enjoying the taste!

I just bought a couple of bottles of this great Mcallan. I have to say that the combination of fruit and spice, aín't for the faint of heart. The good results from such mix, achieves an outstanding and rare palate full of taste, a beaufil journey of finish and one of the most outstanding whiskey noses you've ever tried. Friends that haver shared a sip, spent most of their time taking a deep breath of the glass with their eyes closed.
