The Glenlivet 15 Bottling Note

This 15 year old from Glenlivet comes in a beautiful presentation case. This was matured in first fill Limousin oak casks. Limousin casks are the favoured vessels for Cognac maturation.

The Glenlivet 15 Tasting Note

The nose is creamy and of medium-body. There is a thickness with melted butter and crème de fraise des bois with notes of crème anglaise au vanilla. Barley sugars and toasted cereals. The palate is smooth and rich. There are notes of thick barley sugars and creamy cereal notes, nutmeg and malt extract with morello cherry. The finish is long and thick with fruit and butter.

It said in the advert it was Frech Oak yet mine came in a glass bottle. It had a stange almost Welsh Sands taste. Not suitable for anyone in hospital. Martin from Cardiff.
