What's in a name? The Glenlivet 12 Year Old American Oak whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled The Glenlivet 12 Year Old American Oak whiskey, rather than whisky.
The nose is full and rich. There is a sweet creamy vanilla with warm pastries and toffee, fudge notes and aniseed. A strong toasty cereal notes emerges with a touch of oak. The palate is quite thick and warm. There is a thick aniseed note with dried peels and fudge. The finish is long and warming.

This delicious lady is a kind of a younger Nadurra (ie.16YO) but lacks the power of its bigger sister I'm afraid.
