Insider knowledge: Teaninich 2004 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Teaninich 2004 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Pear drops, strawberry laces and candied orange peels. It's like a time-warp to a tuck shop!
Palate: Chocolate, more strawberries and lightly salted peanuts.
Finish: A medium length finish.
Overall: An elegant but very flavoursome single malt.
