What's in a name? Talisker 25 Year Old (2009 Release) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Talisker 25 Year Old (2009 Release) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Good God. This is a mind blowing bottle. Very true to Talisker's style and you really feel the power in this dram. If you ever see a bottle of this, just buy it. And hide it. Amazing.

Had this at a premium tasting quite recently and got a handsome of spice/pepper from this. Smoke, peppermint, spice and some vanilla with citrus on the nose, the palate is spicy with vanilla, with notes of smoke and caramel. Chocolatey/peppery finish of medium length. If you add water, you will get more sweetness on the nose, but more spice/pepper elsewhere. A powerful Skye dram for those who can handle it.
