Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Glen Scotia 32 Year Old 1977 - Dun Bheagan (Ian MacLeod) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glen Scotia 32 Year Old 1977 - Dun Bheagan (Ian MacLeod) whiskey, rather than whisky.
