What's in a name? Scapa 25 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Scapa 25 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
The nose is rich and spirity. There are notes of spicy barley and cinnamon, manuka honey and hints of zest with a fresh barley note, the cereals and sweet and plentiful. The palate is rich and big-bodied. There are notes of acacia honey, the barley is crisp and juicy and there are notes of orange and cacao. Hints of oak and a touch of winter spice. The finish is long and warming with a strong spicy note.
