The ultimate rye whiskey, whose 2008 predecessor was rated 97.5 points by Jim Murray, making it World Whisky of the Year. Sazerac 18 is a superb whiskey from Buffalo Trace's Antique Collection. This is the Fall 2011 edition.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Floral and intensely aromatic. Peppery and very spicy, with hints of citrus zest, a little coconut and Chai lattes.

Palate: Fruity and quite juicy. Like a mix of tingling cinnamon spice, red fruit and crème caramel. Just stunning. Hints of toffee apple, grapefruit peel, coffee again.

Finish: Long and spiced. Dried cranberry and stem ginger.
