Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Rosebank 1991 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Rosebank 1991 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, rather than whisky.

Rosebank 1991 Bottling Note

Distilled at the now defunct Rosebank in 1991 and aged for 17 years in sherry and bourbon casks before bottling for Gordon and MacPhail in 2008.

Rosebank 1991 Tasting Note

There is a good maltiness to the nose, which is of medium-body. The cereal notes build with a little green berry note with a certain elegance. The palate is of medium body and quite smooth. The barley is gentle and graceful with a soft sweetness, a hint of caramel and dry oak. The finish is quite gristy and dry with chewy oak tannins.
