SMWS 127.1 Bottling Note

SMWS' first bottling from the Port Charlotte distillery! This is a super rare little whisky, which was distilled in December 2001 and aged in a single refill barrel for 8 years before bottling. It's staggeringly good.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Tar, peat smoke, sweet cured meats, custard, raspberry jam, honey and hints of copper, salty butter and burnt toast.

Palate: A rich, creamy, spicy palate, with huge peat smoke, chipotle Chili, custard, damson jam, soy sauce, crispy duck pancakes and butterscotch.

Finish: Good length with notes of toffee brittle, manuka honey and vanilla and oodles of black pepper and chili heat!

Just happy that I was able to buy this incredible bottling before it ran out. Unfortunately, my stocks are also now depleted... too good to save forever!
