Old Pulteney 1994 Sauternes Bottling Note
A limited edition of just 2,050 bottles, a 12 year old from Old Pulteney, matured in 1994 and finished in Sauternes casks.
The nose is quite light and fruity. There are notes of white grape and spice with honeyed Tokaji notes and toasty barley sugars. There is a dry oak not with cereals and tropical fruits. The palate is of medium-body and well-balanced. There are notes winter spice and liquorice, there is a defined Sauternes note with buttery barley. The finish is long with dry oak and a peppery note.
