The sherry is clean and evident from the offing. Dry and ripe with a well-balanced acidity from the white grape and pleasant, yet gentle, sweetness. The palate is well-balanced and all on the rich sherry notes. The juicy sultanas and soft barley sugar are present in spades. Notes of dry sherry and a beautiful vinous character. The oak rises with crisp authority as the cereal notes develop, as does a touch of warmth. The finish is long with more sherry, the barley has come into its own and the oaked backcloth is quite the canvas.
