Nose: Leather armchairs and very soft South Islay peat smoke. A hint of citrus, sultanas and allspice. Potpourri.
Palate: Huge palate entry with a sweet, creamy mouth-feel. Brandy butter and biscuity malt form a rich core. A touch of muscular peat smoke. Lime zest and mincemeat.
Finish: Incredibly long. Brandy butter and toasted oak on the finish. Hints of smoke.
Overall: Absolutely staggering - a lovely balance too, with the Port Ellen adding a lovely complexity.
