Nose: Like a fine old Cognac with deep notes of soft calves leather and stewing vineyard fruits. Beyond this there is a haze of soft peat smoke enticing you in.
Palate: Rich, sweet and syrupy. The Cognac character returns but with richer and maltier notes of Scotch with a wealth of warm and sweet spice at the back.
Finish: The finish is astoundingly long and lingers well after the final sip with notes of mince-pie and oak smoke.
Overall: This incredible whisky boasts such a depth of flavour, and combined with the rarity of its ingredients, it is a truly remarkable whisky.
