Mannochmore 22 Bottling Note
A 22 year old from the Mannochmore distillery, distilled in 1974 and bottled at cask strength for Diageo's Rare Malts range.
The nose is of medium-body and quite punchy. There are notes of cut hay and dried grass, hints of juicy fruits, mixed dried fruits and peels and apple blossom. The palate is quite light and very smooth. There are notes of soft, supple wood smoke with barley sugars and fruity esters. There are notes cereal sweetness and a very subdued peat. The finish is of medium-length with oaky tannins and black pepper.
