What's in a name? Lagavulin 12 Year Old (2010 Release) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Lagavulin 12 Year Old (2010 Release) whiskey, rather than whisky.
My first 12 CS from Lagavulin Colour : light strawyellow Nose : a lot of ( wet ) earthy peat; below that sweet apples and vanilla. Taste : the apples and vanilla return with a whif of (acacia) honey while the peat takes on a more sea like character; more smoked fish when some water is added. Finish : long with a pleasant sensation in the mouth which lasts forever. A finish you will still be experiencing the next morning!
