The Smokey Peaty One Bottling Note

A vatted malt from Jon, Mark and Robbo. The Smokey Peaty One has a strong focus on malts from the Islands, components include: Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain, Highland Park, Ledaig, Bowmore and Laphroaig.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is of full and peppy. There is a distinct woody note, with a touch of warm smoke, there are some lovely crisp cereal notes and a touch of ground ginger. The palate is quite full and well-balanced. There are notes of nut and fragrant wood, hints of winter spice and a fresh smoke. Barley sweetness. The finish is of good length with spice notes and cereals with a development of oak.

Amazing

This is possibly the best whisky I've ever tasted. It maintains a clean, almost salty, edge whilst providing a slightly sweet flavour. I drank it sitting by a bonfire in the middle of the snow, utterly perfect!

Vatted, not Blended

Calling this a blended whisky is a definate misnomer, whilst it is a blend of different whiskies it is important to remember that this is a blend of different single malt whiskies, not of grain whisky with a dash of malt. This whisky is a piece of art that captivates the senses. Thoroughly recommended.
