Jura 9 2003 Bottling Note

A 9 year old whisky from the Isle of Jura, bottled for Douglas Laing's Provenance range. This stuff was distilled in Spring of 2003, aged in a single refill hogshead and bottled in Spring of 2012. Lovely stuff…

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A dry, oaky nose with aromas of plum wine, lavender and soft, oily smoke.

Palate: The palate offers up notes of barley sugar, vanilla fudge, butterscotch and fruity peat smoke, with juts a touch of oak developing.

Finish: Spiced, wine-like finish with hints of supple smoke.
