What's in a name? Isle of Jura 18 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Isle of Jura 18 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
The nose is fresh and floral. There are some creamy notes of vanilla and blossom with a touch of tropical fruit. There are some soft estery notes with plenty of cereal with a development of oak. The palate is of medium-body with notes of estery fruit and Madeira. Hints of vanilla fudge creep in with an uprising of damson jam and a dark nuttiness.
