What's in a name? Glenkinchie 1996 Amontillado Finish - Distillers Edition whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glenkinchie 1996 Amontillado Finish - Distillers Edition whiskey, rather than whisky.
Despite coming from a sherry cask, this maul is light in colour, yet strong on flavour. Smooth with a long amber finish, there are definite tones of honey and marmalade. A slight touch of almonds can be sensed at the end.
