Whisky or Whiskey

Insider knowledge: Glengoyne 2000 Millennium Clock whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Glengoyne 2000 Millennium Clock whiskey, as opposed to whisky.

Glengoyne Millennium Clock Bottling Note

Released in 2000 to commemorate the turn of the millennium. This is cask strength single malt from the Glengoyne distillery, packaged in a grandfather clock.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Roasted coffee beans, heaps of dried fruit and mincemeat.

Palate: Huge body and very rich with raisins, espresso and demerara sugar.

Finish: Christmas cake and bitter coffee.

Overall: This is classic Glengoyne; big rich and sherried. Absolutely stunning stuff.
