Insider knowledge: Glenfarclas 46 Year Old 1954 whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Glenfarclas 46 Year Old 1954 whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Lush sherry, sultanas, peels, beautifully tannic oak. Barley, malt. Just a touch of peat. Fresh herbs.Palate: Rich, sublime balance. Rum spice, dark sugar, buttery, fudge, pastries, digestive biscuit.Finish: Long, oaky, bitter espresso, malt, biscuity.

Sounds absolutely delicious, unfortunately I will never be able to buy it.......
A slightly dissapointing Glenfarclas
Tried this at a tasting last monday. Lacks overall intensity, and some sulphury notes. The 6 year younger farclas is much much better.
