Insider knowledge: George T Stagg (2009 Release) whiskey is named whiskey by virtue of the fact it's from America. If distilled in Scotland the spelling would be George T Stagg (2009 Release) whisky, as opposed to whiskey.
Nose: Crisp, almost brittle with toasted almonds at the fore. Also notes of fig and cigar box. Spicy.
Palate: Creamy, espresso, very nutty, dark fruits, the taste of an unlit cigar.
Finish: Peppery, cinnamon, caramel.
Hands down, the best bourbon on the market. A stunner!
Despite the high abv this actually has a lot of flavour. quite a spicy, fruity bourbon.
sip straight up.. no ice.. even at 141 proof it's amazingly smooth and provides a pleasant taste experience from start to finish. A++++++
