What's in a name? Goldlys 12 Year Old (cask 2600) - Distillers Range whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Belgium. Were it from America it would be spelled Goldlys 12 Year Old (cask 2600) - Distillers Range whiskey, rather than whisky.
Goldlys also has a younger version, which is a real bargain. The Goldlys Double-still(no age) costs only about 13 euros in Belgium and tastes outstanding for that price, won't find better. It has a banana-cream, floral and very supple palate. You have to check it out sometime.

Bottle 2615 . Wonderful colour. Very honest and open nose, clean and floral. Soft on the palate, not very complex , rather civilised 43 % vol. If you want peat, look elsewhere. Soft finish, silky smooth that opens up nicely . More of an Irish flavour. This newcomer kicks ass. Can confidently compete with higher priced single malts. Congratulations Filliers, nice job done !!!
