Speyside's Finest 42 Bottling Note
A very deeply hued 42 year old from a secret distillery in Speyside. This was distilled in November 1967, aged in a sherry butt and bottled in June 2010. With lots of spicy sherried character, you'll just have to try and guess which top Speyside distillery this was from!
Nose: Sweet and very spicy. Christmas spices in fact, with notes of almond, walnut, toffee and vanilla.
Palate: Gloriously musty sherry with notes of sweet spices, puckering tannic fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
Finish: Medium dry with hints of smoke atop the sherry and cloved oranges.
