Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dried strawberries and hints of soft sherry. Apple peel, a little ground almond and gingerbread.

Palate: Thick, creamy, warming palate entry with notes of rich spices and cooked fruit. All kinds of berry conserves.

Finish: Black pepper and pear drops.

Wonderful, tasty, excellent

Wow. A fan of the regular 12 year, this steps it up a couple notches in flavor and enjoyment! The tasting notes by the Master Of Malts chaps are right on, lots of berries (yummy!) I would have thought this was finished in an Oloroso rather than a Port wood barrel. The sherry is there but it's not in your face and oh so light and seductive. Go and try a bottle you won't regret it! I'm going to get a 2nd one....
