What's in a name? Cragganmore 1997 (bottled 2009) Port Wood Finish - Distillers Edition whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Cragganmore 1997 (bottled 2009) Port Wood Finish - Distillers Edition whiskey, rather than whisky.
Superb - light and smooth with a well-balanced flavour. I'll be coming back for more.

Nose: Grassy and floral notes, with a touch of orange, citrus. There is also a depth in the background, where I believe dried fruits resides.
Taste: Sweet malt and nectar. A nice balance between fresh and dried fruits. A tiny bit of smoke reveals itself in the finish. Although better than the regular Cragganmore 12, it still falls a bit short. There is just something missing.
