Interesting fact… Bushmills Millennium Malt whiskey spells its name whiskey as it originates in Ireland. Had it been produced in Scotland its name would be Bushmills Millennium Malt whisky, instead of whiskey.
Nose: Creamy, cereal sweetness, barley, vanilla, oak. Nutty.
Palate: Mature oak, sweet spices, vanilla, creamy, fruity.
Finish: Medium to long, barley, fruit, honey, creamy.
The Bushmills Millennium Malt is sublime. We toured the distillery the day after St. Patrick's Day 2010 and they had opened a bottle for the free sample on St Patrick's Day. We were lucky enough to get a try of this whiskey. Strong and creamy to the nose, almost pungent but nastily so, Christmas cake on the palate, definitely a long finish with what tastes like Golden Syrup and sultanas. Absolutely sublime!
A little bit like petrol, but in the best way possible. Cleaner than you could imagine.
