Bunnahabhain Heavily Peated Bottling Note

This was distilled from heavily peated malt (unusual for a Bunnahabhain) on the 8th December 1997 and was aged for 12 years in hogsheads 5342 and 5484 before bottling on the 23rd June 2010 as part of a release of 551 bottles from Signatory's Cask Strength Collection.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Bourbon notes, but smoky with oily nutty notes, haddock chowder, almond, sweetness.

Palate: Big, peaty, lemony with pepper and almond oil.

Finish: Rich, spicy and oily with hints of tar.
