What's in a name? Bruichladdich Octomore 02.2 Orpheus whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bruichladdich Octomore 02.2 Orpheus whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Quite sweet, dichotomy of grapey sweetness and peat. Berry fruits, new make. Very young. Palate: Not as peaty as expected, quite spicy though. A sort of berry fruit sweetness, sweet cereals, new-make, jam-like. Finish: Grape like here, very sweet, fiery spices from the intense phenol levels. Overall: A marmite dram, those in search of a youthful, but very peaty whisky will love it. ...more

This is a belter!!!
Just amazing. In the nose you have steamy fire and grilled red paprika, then nose is soothed with red wine moisty bouqet (Chateau Petrus). Same sensation in the palate - just when you yhink your tongue has burnt the juicy and winey help arrives! Has 5yo and it is so elaborated. Great job!
