What's in a name? Bowmore 10 Year Old Tempest - Batch 2 whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bowmore 10 Year Old Tempest - Batch 2 whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nice, punchy and peppery enough to grab your attention. With water slight fruit and strong smoke emerges, sea brine and some wet stones. Very small hints of sherry and some sweet fruits. I like it a lot. One of my favorites Bowmore's along with 12yo Enigma and 25yo.
Lovely dram if you forget about Batch #1 and #3, imho if you like a nice bourbon-punch coupled with Bowmore-greatnesss, Batch #1 if your first choice, #3 your second, #4 your last.... Batch #2's flavour's light and fruity compared to the others imo.
