Nose: Gingerbread and hints of butterscotch. Thick, sweet malt with hints of baked pear and toffee apples.
Palate: Baking spices meld with nots of stem ginger in syrup, allspice and potpourri. A touch of marmalade develops late palate.
Finish: Long, creamy finish with lingering lemon zest and berry fruit.
Overall: A surprisingly rich little whisky from the Lowlands.
