Bladnoch 8 Sheep Bottling Note
An 8 year old Bladnoch, bottled at cask strength, this was aged in a single sherry cask. A stunning dram from the Lowland distillery, albeit with a picture of sheep on the label! Distilled on the 3rd March 2001 and aged on the 20th January 2010. Aged in sherry butt 28.
Nose: Peppery and spicy with big toffee sweetness and cut hay. Floral and reminiscent of the countryside.
Palate: Rich and floral, like a spicy version of rose petal jelly - perhaps made with ginger and nutmeg, and a little oak. Vanilla too.
Finish: Cinnamon, vanilla and butterscotch on the finish. Loads of character.
