The nose is sweet and slightly smoky. Creamy barley notes and a touch of honey with lush sherried peel. The palate is full and well-oaked, the refinement that ones years can bring is, at least, evident here. Sherry still present, raisins and dry wood with sweetness from the barley and cereal undertones. The finish is of good length, toffee and honey and some bourbon notes. A touch of crisp fruit and grist brings a pleasant edge to matters.
