Interesting fact… Auchentoshan 50 Year Old 1957 whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Scotland. Had it been produced in America its name would be Auchentoshan 50 Year Old 1957 whiskey, instead of whisky.
Nose: Feinty and fruity. An abundance of flavour, with lush ripe berries and white fruits. Lovely complexity, tobacco and rich leathery ropes. Pecan Danish fresh from the oven, a little almond and hot buttered toast, just a dash of mint. Palate: Lovely dryness, quite woody with beautiful tannins, pine wood and a little resin paving the way for a deluge of sugared peels, chewy rich orange and mandarin and herbaceous notes, a little green tea perhaps.
