Arran Montepulciano Bottling Note
Bottled in November 2005, this Isle of Arran cask strength release spent time in a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo cask and was limited to just 315 bottles.
Nose: Chewy sultanas and a chewy grapes. Hints of port and thick oak.
Palate: Rich and pungent. The port notes have developed with tannic intent and proffer ample mastication when combined with a rich oak. Winter spices emerge with rum notes and a touch of smoke.
Finish: Long and peppery with a good sweetness.
